Privacy Policy — Idealista Chat & Comments

What this extension does

Idealista Chat & Comments lets users discuss property listings on idealista.pt, idealista.com, and idealista.it. Users can post comments, reply, like, and tag topics on individual listing pages.

Data we collect

Google Account (sign-in)

When you sign in with Google, we receive your:

• Display name
• Email address
• Profile photo URL
• Google user ID

This data is used solely to identify you within the extension and display your name/avatar next to your comments. We do not sell, share, or use this data for any purpose other than operating the extension.

Comments

When you post a comment, we store:

• Your user ID (linked to your Google account)
• Your display name (or “Anonymous” if you choose anonymous posting)
• The comment text
• The listing ID the comment is associated with
• Timestamp
• Topic tags you selected
• Like count and list of users who liked the comment

Comments are stored in Google Firebase Firestore and are visible to all users of the extension who visit the same listing page.

Anonymous posting

When you post anonymously, your display name is hidden from other users. Your user ID is still stored internally to allow you to delete your own anonymous comments.

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not track your browsing history
• We do not collect data from pages outside of idealista listing pages
• We do not use cookies or third-party trackers
• We do not run analytics on your usage
• We do not collect or store your Google password

Data storage

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Data deletion

You can delete your own comments at any time using the delete button on each comment. If you want all your data removed, contact us and we will delete all comments associated with your account.

Third-party services

• Google Firebase — authentication and database
• Google Identity API — sign-in via Google account

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
